Ah, the classic college experience. It's 10 PM, my term paper for Western Civ is due at 10 AM tomorrow, and I have... about 3 pages of notes and a lot of passion.
Here's the thing: I love this topic. I'm writing about the fall of the Western Roman Empire, and I can talk about it for hours. I can tell you all about the barbarian invasions, the economic decay, the political instability. I even watched Gladiator again last night for "research."
But when it comes to actually writing the paper, my brain just shuts down. I have all this info floating around in my head, but I can't get it into a proper academic structure. My introduction is weak, my arguments are probably all over the place, and I haven't even thought about my conclusion.
I'm currently on my third energy drink. My room looks like a library exploded. I have tabs open for JSTOR, Reddit, and a pizza delivery website. The classic trifecta.
Anyone else in the same boat tonight? Let's be accountability buddies in the comments. Or just send memes to keep me awake. If I don't make it, tell my professor I died doing what I loved: procrastinating.
